Honoring the Past – Enriching the Future
Welcome to the Temple Beth Israel
Temple Beth Israel in Danielson, Connecticut is a special place with a unique history. It is a beautiful building (recently listed on the National Register of Historic Places) which was built in the 1950s by a remarkable group of local Jewish businessmen and immigrant farmers who were Holocaust survivors. Many of the members of the Preservation Society are children of the founders of the Temple. We have been joined by dedicated friends who share the desire to honor our parents and the founders of the community by telling their stories and developing cultural, spiritual, and educational programs consistent with their values.
